On June 22, 2021, a significant event took place within the walls of the Kazakh Research Institute, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the International Non-Commercial Islamic Organization for Food Safety (IFPA) and the Kazakh Research Institute of Food and Processing Industry LLP. A delegation from the Islamic Food Security Organization headed by the Chairman of the Board of the organization Yerlan  Alimzhanovich Bagdaulet and the program manager of the organization Azamat Khamiev, development manager of the Islamic Food Industry Association Kaliyeva Berik paid an official visit to sign the agreement.The main purpose of the memorandum is to establish business contacts and promote agri-food projects with investments related to the use of Islamic finance. The parties will strengthen cooperation in areas of strategic interest to both organizations.
In the process of signing the memorandum, the sides discussed issues of professional development in the advanced Islamic states, as well as the production and promotion of domestic «HALAL» products.
During the negotiations, KazRIFPI  presented its innovative developments and an exhibition of products was organized.
