born on May 18, 1961 in Dzhambul (now Taraz)

In 1978 he graduated from the secondary school named after A. Imanov in the village of Bektobe, Zhambyl district, Zhambyl region.

In 1983 he graduated with honors from the Dzhambul Technological Institute of Light and Food Industry (now – TarGU named after M.Kh.Dulati) with a degree in Machines and Apparatus for Food Production. After graduating from the university, he was sent to scientific and pedagogical activities as a young specialist at the graduating department of “Food Engineering”. From December 1983 to May 1985 he served in the ranks of the Soviet Army (Leningrad Region, Gatchina)

In the period from 1986 to 1990, he underwent a scientific internship and continued his studies in full-time postgraduate study at the Moscow Technological Institute of the Food Industry at the Department of Theory of Mechanisms, Machines and Robots.

In 1991 he successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis in the specialty “Machines and apparatus for food production” on the topic “Vibration separation of a mixture of hulled and non-hulled rice by self-sorting in an annular channel.” In 2000 he defended his thesis for a  doctor’s degree at the junction of two specialties: 05.18.12 – Processes and devices for food production and 05.20.01 – Mechanization of agricultural production on the topic “Development of vibration separators for processing grain, oilseeds and cereal crops in the conditions of farms and processing enterprises of the agro-industrial complex.”

In the period from 1991 to 2001 he worked as a teacher, associate professor and head of the department “Food Engineering” of the Taraz State University named after M.Kh.Dulati. From November 2001 to November 2002, at the invitation of the management, he worked as the director of the Research Institute of Food Technologies of the Almaty Technological University.

In December 2002, on a competitive basis, he was appointed director of the Research and Production Center for Agricultural Mechanization, where he worked until 2007. During his work at the Research Institute, he coordinated scientific projects in the field of mechanization and electrification of agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. An accredited machine testing laboratory was created under his leadership.

From September 2007 to August 2016, he held the positions of Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Vice-Rector for Research and First Vice-Rector of the Almaty Technological University, and then rector of the Eurasian Technological University.

From September 2016 to August 2018, he served as Deputy General Director of the Kazakh National Research Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture..

On September 3, 2018, by the decision of the board of directors, NASEC was appointed acting, and then in May 2019, the general director of the Kazakh research institute of processing and food industry. Since 2020, he has been the Chairman of the Board of Kazakh research institute of processing and food industry.

Community service. In the period from 2002 to 2006, he worked as a member of the expert council of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and then as a member of the Presidium of the Committee for Control in Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the consideration and approval of dissertations

From 2006 to 2010, he chaired the dissertation council at the Almaty Technological University for the defense of candidate and doctoral dissertations on technologies, processes and devices for food production.

Research activities are aimed at the development and creation of highly efficient technologies and machines for the processing of crop and livestock agricultural raw materials. Innovative technologies and technical means have been developed for: separation of grain and products of its processing; centrifugal peeling of cereal grains; drying and disinfection of grain in an electromagnetic field of ultra-high frequency; pasteurization of milk in an ultra-high frequency field; cold extrusion oil extraction, etc.

Supervised research and development projects under state programs of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 1997-2000, 2002-2005, 2006-2008, 2015-2017, 2018-2020. and currently leads research projects for grant funding for 2021-2022. He carried out research projects within the framework of grant financing of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with scientists from Bulgaria and Russia in the field of using a microwave field for processing grain and milk.

Prepared five candidates, doctor (PhD) and doctor of technical sciences. Supervises scientific research of doctoral students of the Kazakh National Agrarian University.

Over 200 scientific papers have been published, including 11 monographs, 2 textbooks, 21 copyright certificates and patents, 15 scientific articles with an impact factor in Scopus editions. More than 60 scientific articles were published jointly with scientists from Germany, Bulgaria, Russia and Belarus, including 10 articles in Scopus editions.

International action. Has experience working with leading scientific organizations and universities from Europe (Germany, England, France, Austria, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria), Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Turkey, China, CIS countries, etc. and scientific mobility of teachers and scientists is being trained, together with professors from Germany, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Russia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan, an international textbook in seven languages ​​for the course “Processes and Apparatus for Food Production”. He underwent advanced training in Moscow, Plovdiv (Bulgaria), Minsk and in the country’s universities on the innovative development of science and education.

Awards. By the decrees of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he was awarded with Commemorative medals: in 2005 the medal “Virgin Lands 50” and in 2011 – “20 years of Independence of Kazakhstan”. In 2021, he was awarded the medal “The Best in Agriculture” by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
