Research Internship in Berlin
Scientists Anar Idashkyzy Kurmanbayeva and Mukhtar Chumanovich Tultabayev completed a research internship in Berlin from September 27 to October 5, 2025.
The training took place at the Sectoral Center for Retraining and Professional Development at Humboldt University of Berlin, focusing on the following topics:
• Development of technologies for new types of functional food products based on safflower oil
• Fortified gluten-free extruded snacks with the addition of fruit and berry powders
As part of the 40-hour program, the participants became acquainted with European approaches to the standardization and quality assessment of functional food products, studied modern formulation technologies, and gained knowledge about the transition of the food industry to green technologies and sustainable development.
Classes were held at Humboldt-Innovation GmbH, Ziegelstr. 30, 10117 Berlin, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The training was conducted by Professor Yuri Romanovich Plotkin, Doctor of Technical Sciences; Professor Natalia Mikhailovna Levchenko, Doctor of Medical Sciences; and guest lecturer Abigail Johnson.
Upon completion of the course, the scientists received official certificates of advanced training.
